Peta Jenkin was born in Brussels, Belgium and grew up in Australia. She's now based in Berlin where she works freelance as a writer and producer for radio and television. Peta is interested in uncovering the edgy and perculiar cultural undercurrents of Europe in the 21st Century, writing and producing for clients such as the German national broadcaster Deutsche Welle, MTV, and Vice Magazine. She's visited a knitting circle of ladies in West Germany to report on their hand made fetish undergarments, dropped into a coffin-making factory to check out a very special 'Louis Vuitton' coffin for ladies, and tried to improve her health by sitting in a room full of salt. Peta's whacked on a moustache to enter the World Beard and Moustache Championships and taken a nostalgic trip back to the 80's by getting a 'perm' hairdo. When not engaged in following more off-beat trends, or hiding behind her disguises, Peta is a long-standing contributing editor to cult Japanese zine Shift Magazine, where she's written features on up and coming talent in fashion and digital art, and covered seminal events like the Sonar Festival in Barcelona and the Illustrative exhibition in Zurich.
